About Me
Welcome to “Inspired Healing”, when I was deciding a name for my new business I heard Eckhart Tolle say that Inspired meant “In spirit” on further investigation I found this lovely quote “aroused, animated or imbued with the spirit to do something by or as if by supernatural or divine influence”. Another version was “to excite, encourage or breathe life into” from the Latin meaning to inflame or blow into – in the bible it is said to mean literally “God-breathed”. This really resonated with me as a shamanic practitioner everything I do is heart and spirit driven so “Inspired Healing” seemed perfect and unbelievably the domain names were available!

I am so glad you’ve found your way to my website – in case you are curious about me here is a little bit of background about how I got into Shamanic healing and working with Cacao. My spiritual journey began in my very early twenties and I spent my 20’s and 30’s training in a number of holistic therapies including massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki, angelic reiki, crystal healing and oracle card reading all of which I loved, but I didn’t feel inspired to leave my day job and practiced mostly on friends and family with the odd fee paying clients sent my way by friends or the universe! I was also busy building a business with venture capital backing in the healthcare sector. I was a trained as nurse in the army but left after 5 years – I was a bit too much of a rebel and a hippy

In my late 30 and early 40’s life through me a few curve balls. I met my husband, but sadly the marriage only lasted a year. This was heartbreaking and, while that was unfolding, the company I had spent 5 years building up was being unexpectedly sold. It was valued at £5M but was inexplicably given away by the VC’s for a £1. The new owner and I had different values and in the end I decided to walk away. My mental health was in freefall, I was in debt and I turned to alcohol to get me through. It was the beginning of a downward spiral and I ended up drinking alcoholically. I’d lost my spiritual path and kept wishing I would die, but I asked for help both from friends and the universe and they didn’t let me down. Clouds House in Wiltshire offered me a free place to undergo rehabilitation. I could not afford it myself and I’m so grateful because they literally saved my life! I left there in March 2015 and set myself a goal to repay the fees. So far I’ve run a marathon and a half marathon and I continue to raise money for this amazing cause. Soon after this my best friend asked me (and my campervan called Scooby) to a psytrance festival in Portugal called "Boom," I was a little scared having just got sober but something told me to go and that I would be OK – I was restoring my connection with spirit. When we arrived at Boom I learned that the theme that year was Shamanism. As someone with Australian heritage, I had always been captivated by indigenous cultures, particularly the Aboriginals, and had also developed a keen interest in shamanic practices during my training at complementary therapy college. During the festival, I spent my days at the Liminal Village, immersing myself in the wisdom and experiences shared by shamanic practitioners from around the world. I also stayed sober! One speaker, Rebekah Shaman, an urban shaman from England, caught my attention with her captivating story. She had been called in a vision to train with a shaman in the Amazon and spent several months there, discovering her path through Ayahuasca. Her journey resonated deeply with me, and I was inspired by her courage and dedication.

Upon my return to England I bought a copy of Rebekah’s book “The Last Apprentice” and also did some research on shamanic training in England and came across Simon Buxton, author of “The Shamanic way of the Bee” and the founder of “The Sacred Trust”, a renowned training school. I read both books pretty much in one sitting and knew I needed to start studying and learning about Shamanism for myself. I enrolled in three courses at the Sacred Trust, a introduction weekend called “The Shamans Pathway”, “The way of the Melissae” (based on a European shamanic conclave known as the Lyceum) and a two-week intensive training in classical shamanism. I continue to study at The Sacred Trust as well as attending other Shamanic trainings, constantly striving to deepen my own shamanic path. I also continued to follow Rebekah Shaman and attended one of her Cacao Ceremonies in London which had a profound effect on me and so when she started offering Cacao training, I felt an undeniable calling to participate. Determined to secure a spot, I asked spirit for help (as there were only 10 places available) and donations instead of Christmas/birthday presents from friends and family as I didn’t have enough money. I was fortunate to be offered a place and through the generosity of others, I raised enough funds to pursue my training, and this marked another turning point in my life. From that point on, I knew I not only wanted to incorporate Cacao into my own daily spiritual practice, I also felt called to offer Cacao ceremonies in my home and woods to share her magic with the world. Also at this time I was now running and growing a small rehabilitation company of occupational therapists, helping people to rebuild their lives following catastrophic injures such a brain and spinal injuries which I also loved. Experiencing and witnessing the transformative power of Cacao’s medicine, it’s amazing health benefits, and the profound connections people made during the ceremonies fuelled my passion. During my training I was also “instructed” by Mother Cacao during a journey to hold a weekend retreat in my woodland which was to help people find forgiveness for themselves and others. I had spent many years working on forgiving my own parents, my father for sexually abusing me and my mother for not protecting me – Mother Cacao was clear it was time for me to share this wisdom. This was incredibly daunting as I had never done anything like this before – but the clear guidance I received from Mother Cacao made me push through the doubt and slight overwhelm (ADHD). I enlisted the help of my best friend ( yes the same one who took me to Portugal) who is an amazing psychotherapeutic counsellor/therapist, and “Journey to Forgiveness” a weekend woodland retreat was launched.

In March of this year, the universe gave me a gigantic shove and I left my day job to pursue my passion for helping others heal their hearts and minds. As I continue on my path, I have faced challenges, including being diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 53, but I have also experienced immense growth. Since 2020, I have been running the “Journey to forgiveness” retreat in my beautiful woodland, allowing individuals to reconnect with themselves and nature. I am now offering a number of different retreats instead of just one, I continue to offer cacao ceremonies, 1-2-1 shamanic healing, sound healing and lots more - check out the rest of my website. I am excited to see how my new business “Inspired Healing” will evolve and grow, hopefully touching the lives of those who seek spiritual growth, guidance and connection."
